![]() This talent build mostly starts to outperform the "standard" in Trail of the Grand Crusader. On top of that Unholy Power is taken to further boost the Imps damage. This by swapping out Glyph of Incinerate in favor of Glyph of Imp. This talent build has a bigger focus on the throughput of your Imp. A defensive option would be to put points towards Nether Protection, however this most likely should just be saved for harder fights during progression where you struggle to keep being alive, similar things count for Molten Skin.ĭestruction 0/19/52 Warlock DPS Talent Build We can put points into Backlash, this will provide us with additional crit chance as well as a strong buff whenever we receive damage. This results in a similar DPS increase compared to Demonic Aegis and Suppression if you add up the DPS gain over the entire raid (assuming others aren't also providing Replenishment). A second point into Improved Soul Leech increases the chances of the spell proccing from 30% to 50% and increases the personal mana gain to 2%. When it comes to Destruction we obviously have the most options here to further round out our build. For progression, we might want to consider using Soul Link when we are stuck on an encounter and keep dying, mostly useful on boss fights that have unavoidable damage mechanics. Especially if you consider that we lack out on Master Summoner to make the cast instant. However together with Avoidance and Fel Synergy (only really need 1 point into Fel Synergy) and the fact that our Imp stays at a relative save distance, this might be overkill. ![]() Another option would be Fel Domination, this can really come in handy as the Imp is the most squishy of all demons or in a last-fought effort to regain his mana (fully raid buffed this should nearly never occur). Most notable for DPS would be Demonic Aegis which arguably is a must have, it is listed as optional because this is the place you would swap out for additional utility talents (depending on niche encounters). We could spend the additional points into the Demonology tree. However, we do use plenty of Seed of Corruption when dealing with large encounters. Another Affliction option would be Improved Corruption, this sees nearly no use on single target encounters as we don't use Corruption in our normal rotation. This also allows opens up other gearing opportunities at times. Suppression provides us with a significant amount of hit rating, something that can often be hard to find on our gear early on. One of the more obvious choices early on especially is found in the Affliction talent tree. There are five points that we can easily move around that we can either put into talents that will further boost our damage, or fulfill a niche utility. Most talent points in Destruction and Demonology are a must-have that increases your damage, however, there are a few points that are up to your preference or fulfill certain niche situations. This is the standard Destruction Warlock build for Wrath of the Lich King. The only other provider is Warrior, but they are limited to melee range to do so.ĭestruction 0/10/56 Warlock DPS Talent Buildįirst off this talent build is not complete and leaves you with 5 points free to spend elsewhere! Another key buff that we provide is Blood Pact. Being able to provide Replenishment to the raid, can be of great use. Something often overlooked is the support that Destruction provides in the form of Improved Soul Leech. Where Shadowfury on the other hand sees utilization for add control thanks to the stun and AOE DPS due to the fact that this is an instant cast spell with a super short global cooldown. Shadowfury essentially is the big brother to Chaos Bolt, it provides a significant amount more damage every 12 seconds. The more damage it deals the more damage our Conflagrate does, which in turn can proc Pyroclasm. Not only this but we also get new destruction spells to go along with all of this Conflagrate, Shadowfury, and Chaos Bolt all feel great and are a bunch of fun to use. But also plenty of procs can provide additional damage such as Backlash, Pyroclasm, Backdraft and Empowered Imp. Most of our talents focus on this as well, the most notable buffs to our fire damage come from talents like Emberstorm, Shadow and Flame, or Fire and Brimstone.
